BOXING

The MSSA-Mumbai Indians Annual Inter School Boxing Championship was conducted on 10th and 11th December, 2014 at DSO Sports Complex Sion, Daravi Mumbai.

This year a total number of 148 entries were received from 29 schools. In a programme spread for over two days 90 bouts were conducted 55 on the first day and 35 on the second day. In the Girls Section 12 entries were received from 10 schools. In a programme spread total 9 bouts.

The Subhash Silk Mills Trophy the symbol of Supermacy for Boxing in the team championship won by Christ Church School, Byculla with a tally of 44 points and Gopal Sharma Memorial school Powai was second with 40 points.

Adil Singh from DPYA School (Dadar) was adjuged the best boxer of the championship.

Our Sincere thanks to the Maharashtra Amateur Boxing Association for providing Officials, Judges,
Doctors, and the ring and assisting the Association in the smooth conduct of the Championship. We also thanks the DSO Authorities for providing us the beautiful facilities and help and support during our Boxing Championship
